There's songs about cancelling plans so you can stay at home; supporting a romantic partner who makes unlistenable experimental music; and dismantling the cliché “worse things happen at sea” beyond all recognition. Some of my musical influences are Pulp, Bowie, The Fall, Ty Segall, Jeffrey Lewis, The Beautiful South and Beck.
